When Netflix released the criminally underrated (no pun intended!) Griselda in January, I knew it’d be a great year for television on the streamer. Sofía Vergara is a national treasure, okay?
In the past seven months, Netflix has delivered us the clever superhero drama, Supacell, the gut-wrenching romance, One Day, and everyone’s favorite tennis series, Break Point. You’ll also find a brilliant documentary about the unsung heroes of football—that’s right, I’m talking about the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders—and a quirky glassblowing competition. Don't forget the sci-fi trip that is 3 Body Problem, either, now that it's officially an Emmy-nominated series.
Each show has been hand-selected by Esquire's staff, but there’s something for everyone. And fair warning: if you ultimately choose the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders docuseries, you will have "Thunderstruck" lodged in your head for at least a month.
